Bikerumor took the new ONE-TWENTY for a test ride and have said that it's "a bike that can handle everything from your local singletrack loops to a full-on underbiking on technical enduro tracks"

The new ONE-TWENTY is designed as an all-round do-anything trail bike, with a focus on delivering high performance at an affordable price. It uses a version of our P-FLEX flexstay design to deliver 130 mm of rear wheel travel. Bikerumor singled this out for praise, saying: "Merida understands that well-performing suspension is the backbone of this bike... the suspension never felt harsh, and generally smooth out bumps small and large".

With an aluminium frame, the bike is designed to be a highly versatile trail bike. Bikerumor's tester praised this element of the bike, saying that is it: "as accessible as you could hope for in a modern full-suspension mountain bike. Plus, it kinda feels bombproof".
