Merida UK rider heads to France

Merida UK rider Gregg Shrosbree is packing his bags in a few weeks time to make his first steps into a professional road racing career by joining a French road racing team for the 2012 season.

Gregg has been a strong part of the Merida UK squad over the last few years competing on the dirt as well as on the road. Gregg has secured a long row of victories on his own and alongside team partner Paul Hopkins.

But for 2012 things will be different. Gregg will spend the next few weeks focusing on boosting his strength in the Swiss mountains (alongside training partner Frank Schleck – no less) and testing his form in a few early season races before heading over to the region north of Clemont Ferrand where his new team will be based.

Over in France Gregg will need to dive not just into a new language but also the French way of life but he is looking forward to the new challenges his move to the continent will bring.

We wish him best of luck and hope to see him back in Merida colours real soon.
