An enduro for infinitely long descents.
What makes you different from your fellow people? At least one thing: you jump for joy when someone tells you that things can only go downhill from here! You are the personification of descents and, just as you uncompromisingly roll down the trail, your bike has to have the same lack of compromise. Voilà: the 2016 ONE-SIXTY lives for the thrill of zipping down the hills. Unless you insist on going up a hill every now and then...
Only last year did our established 160 mm full-suspension receive a super-modern 27.5” (650B) update. Even more room for wider tires, a downhill-oriented cockpit and a design language that screams “enduro!” – what more could a rider ask for? Well, there’s always a little bit more that can be done. A little bit faster, a little bit tighter around the turns, a little more supple on the rough stuff. Or a little bit more striking and with a few revised details. This is precisely how our ONE-SIXTY shows up for the new season. Without a doubt, proven technologies such as the potent “Virtual Pivot Kinematics” chassis, the powerful “X-Taper” head tube and technical refinements such as “Double Stop” and “Down Tube Exit” continue to be responsible for a typical MERIDA enduro biking experience. Adding to this is the new tire setup: rims prepared for use with the tubeless system or already fully equipped with a tubeless kit (depending on model version), meaning that the new ONE-SIXTY flows more stable and reliably through the trails – a perfect accompaniment to the custom setup that suspension specialist RockShox has given the ONE-SIXTY chassis. Finally, it only makes sense that our enduro uses dropper seatposts and 1x11 drivetrains.
