Outstanding design and functionality

Year after year, marketing strategists think about convincing arguments for lady-specific product programs. It seems to be difficult enough to advertise special designs or distinct functionality. In case of our JULIET models, we enjoy the comfortable situation of getting these arguments from the bike press: The magazine MountainBIKE honoured our ONE-TWENTY Juliet 1000-D as “very good bike” and granted the sought-after “buy recommendation” (MountainBIKE 6/11) – another indication for the fact that MERIDA’s lady-specific concept works very well.

In spite of this accolade, our engineers have revised the MTB program for ladies: The fully ONE-TWENTY Juliet has a “tourier” geometry now and utilizes its 120 mm suspension travel in an even better way. In addition, the standover height could be reduced once again via new tube shapes. But the athletic nature remains the same – like that of our hardtail range which is separated into different Pro, Comp and Speed series from 2012. The Pro and Comp frames feature a completely new geometry whose sporty character and 100 mm suspension travel allow also serious off-road tours. These upgrades are underlined by an organic design language that meets the visual requirements of a lady series. The Speed frame features new details as well: Its head tube and two-piece down tube represent perfect integration into our new JULIET family. On the other hand, there are no changes in terms of configuration and components – all “interfaces” between lady and bike (saddle, cockpit, grips) are specifically adapted to the female anatomy. Our road bikes demonstrate their usual best, too: Thanks to a relaxed but also moderately athletic seating position, female JULIET bikers can enjoy maximum cycling fun also on asphalt.
