Näf and Dahle-Flesjå victorious in Italy

At the fourth race of the Italian mountain bike racing series, Ralph Näf and Gunn-Rita Dahle-Flesjå made it a double for the «Multivan Merida Biking Team». Both Näf and Dahle rode to superior victories against stiff competition. Amongst others, Marco Fontana was one of those riders beaten by Näf on the way to the win whereas Gunn Rita Dahle-Flesjå distanced second-placed Italian Eva Lechner by more than three minutes.

For both riders, winning in such a superior manner serves as a first-class motivation for the Worldcup races due to be raced in weeks to come. After a difficult start of the season, Näf seems to have found his form, whereas Gunn-Rita Dahle-Flesjå is celebrating her first win against first-rate international competition for a long time. No wonder both are very optimistic regarding the races at hand.

At the MTB Bundesliga in Saalhausen, José Hermida had as hard a time just like earlier on at a race in Belgium. The Spaniard commented that he felt as if he was allergic to something. Jochen Käß had to abandon the race after a severe crash due to a feeling of dizziness.
