Switzerland’s Andreas Kugler has made the step to the «Multivan Merida Biking Team»’s ranks for 2010. In earlier years, Kugler had been competing as a guest rider for Multivan Merida at selected
road races, and he was given a place on the team on short notice during last season. Now he is expected to score successes in long-distance races. Teaming up with Hannes Genze, the Swiss rider is scheduled to compete in the big stage races that
he has already been successful in during last year’s season. For example, he won Norway’s legendary Birkebeiner marathon race and also formed the winning team together with Hannes Genze at the «Trans-Schwarzwald». Additionally, the two missed out on winning the «Bike Transalp» only by a few seconds. So it’s no surprise that these two stage races together with the Cape-Epic and the Trans-Germany are what Kugler focusses on for 2010
