A living legend: Up to now, the MTB queen from Norway has been scoring eight World Championship titles (marathon and XC) as well as numerous European Championships and 26 World Cup wins – not to mention her Olympic Gold Medal at Athens 2004. In February 2009, Gunn-Rita joined the current MULTIVAN MERIDA BIKING TEAM’s official presentation only indirectly – but with very good cause: Via video link, she announced the forthcoming birth of her son Bjørnar. By June 2009, the trained journalist was already back in the saddle and triumphed at the Open Italian Marathon Championship – officially called “Gunn-Rita Marathon” in her honour!
