BIG.NINE

With two TWENTY-NINE Lite versions, last year’s MERIDA premiere in terms of 29” bikes was more than successful. From 2012, our BIG.NINE family represents a total of nine models that cover all areas of “big-wheeled” mountain biking: From the extremely light-weight and stiff BIG.NINE CARBON (already utilized successfully by the MULTIVAN MERIDA BIKING TEAM) to our BIG.NINE Lite with identical racing qualities, all 29” bikers benefit from increased traction, enhanced comfort and superb riding stability. The same applies to our outstanding tourer BIG.NINE TFS with its full suitability for daily use. All BIG.NINE versions offer 100 mm suspension travel – lockable and with a model-specific lowering option.

MATTS Lite / MATTS TFS

Our “Sport” hardtails are inspired by the racing geometry of our high-end carbon rocket MERIDA O.NINE – and the best choice for all racers and tourers who are looking for an aluminium bike with propulsion-optimized performance. Because all nine 2012 versions are manufactured from high-quality “Racelite 61” or “Prolite 66” aluminium that is, in case of some models, transformed via “Technoforming System” (TFS) into exciting frame shapes. In addition, our Lite and TFS bikes share quality attributes such as “Smooth Welding” technology (for brilliantly precise, smooth welding seams), elaborate paintwork and lockable 100 mm front suspension travel. Eight models feature disc brakes while light-weight V-brakes are also on offer.

MATTS

MTBs are pieces of sports equipment, aren’t they? In case of our MATTS family, this question is not easy to answer – because a MATTS represents many aspects: It’s a light-weight MTB hardtail that consists of high-quality “Racelite 6061” aluminium and has 100 mm suspension travel. In equal measure, it is a robust tourer whose moderately sporty geometry provides cycling fun for hours. And a MATTS is also a reliable partner for every day: Thanks to “K-Mount”, it offers a mounting possibility for a kick stand while a rear-carrier can be installed as well. But with its new, organically shaped down tube and its now mightier head tube (also new for 2012), a MATTS is first of all: A premium bike – like every MERIDA.
