ANDREAS KUGLER
Swiss Champion 2010 MX
Andreas Kugler
Despite being one of the world’s strongest marathon racers, nobodyreally had Andreas Kugler on the short list of favourites for the Swiss national championships. He proved them wrong bysoloing to a superior victory, with his friend and training partner Ralph Näf following as runner-up. At the European championshipshe made it to the podium in third, and at the World championships he finished in a respectable 11th place. Teaming up withHannes Genze, Andreas Kugler is part of one of the strongest teams in long-distance stage races, winning last season’s «TransSchwarzwald» race and finishing in second at the legendary «Transalp Challenge». Winning this prestigious stage race in theAlps remains one of the main targets of the duo Kugler/Genze as well as a podium finish at South Africa’s Cape Epic race.
