The most successful MERIDA bike of Season 2010 wears World Champion colours in all future races – and deservedly so! But still more outstanding modifications ensure that the MERIDA O.NINE Team will be very hard to beat also during Season 2011:

From now on, our MULTIVAN MERIDA BIKING TEAM pro riders rely on the performance of a complete Sram XX group-set. The XX crank’s torsion-resistant 4-arm spider transforms each pedal-generated momentum directly into acceleration. The reliable shifting performance of shifters, front and rear derailleur is already legendary in the XX group’s third year dominating the race-scene.

Second change compared to 2010: MERIDA trusts in PRC! As high-end PROCRAFT components, the ultra-light stem and the broad flat-bar represent optimum cockpit adaption to professional demands. Thanks to an ultra-light net weight of 150 g, the gracile 27.2 mm seat post sets a new record for EN -certified serial seat posts. In addition, it features the brand new Selle-Italia Monolink clamping system and superb flex that supports the outstanding vibration absorption of the O.NINE chassis.

Compared to the previous year, the O.NINE chassis remains the same – because “never change a winning horse”, with a sensational frame weight of 940 g (at size 18" / 46 cm), excellent BB stiffness for lossless power transmission and extremely comfortable “Flex Stay” seat stays! Also the “Nano Matrix” carbon chassis with special “Double Chamber Technology” has turned our O.NINE into the measure of all pedal-powered precision tools already in 2010 – as highlighted impressively by José A. Hermida’s XC World Championship title.
