Multivan
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is supporting the internationally successful mountain biking team Merida as the title sponsor. A total of 13 vehicles from the current model range will accompany the athletes.
The mountain bike pros from "Multivan Merida Biking Team" will be travelling in Multivans to all races both at home and abroad. The team has four Multivan Startlines, four Multivan Comfortlines and a Multivan Highline at its disposal. The mobile workshop was integrated in a Volkswagen Crafter. In addition, the team uses a motor caravan based on a Crafter and a Crafter window van for passenger transport as well as a Crafter panel van for the transport of the bikes.
The Multivan stands for unlimited mobility in leisure and for sports. The MPV is a practical and indispensable companion for popular sports like biking and surfing. With its flexible interior design, the Multivan offers sufficient space to stow the complete equipment for bike sports.

Merida is one of the world's largest makers of premium bicycles and is known for the development of high-quality and very light aluminium and carbon-fibre frames. The "Multivan Merida Biking Team" was founded in 2004; prior to that, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles was already active as a co-sponsor. The cooperation is initially planned until the 2008 Olympic Games in Peking.
