‘Lively and fast’: the eONE-SIXTY SL 8000 was awarded a ‘Very Good’ rating in the MOUNTAINBIKE test.

eONE-SIXTY SL 8000

In addition to the ONE-FORTY 6000 (find full story here), our Bosch SX-powered eONE-SIXTY SL 8000 impressed in the 'Bio vs. Light-E' test in the March 2026 issue of Germany’s MOUNTAINBIKE magazine, securing a 'Very Good' rating in the final assessment.

During testing, the eONE-SIXTY SL 8000 proved to be 'very playful on descents'. Overall, the SL offers a ‘very direct, racy and fun riding experience’.

Particular mention was made of the stylish and practical Kiox 400 C top tube display from Bosch, which can be used to display routes, navigate, and read riding data — something that was not possible with the previous system controller. The SX unit also provides 'powerful assistance on steep climbs' and responds 'sensitively to every pedal stroke'. The low front of the eONE-SIXTY SL 8000 provides 'enormous riding pleasure'.

The testers particularly praised the following features:

  • Playful handling
  • Chassis with plenty of reserves
  • Racy riding experience
  • Lively and fast
  • Kiox 400 C display
  • Powerful, finely adjustable assistance
