According to Road.cc – the Speeder lives up its name.

The Road.cc team took a closer look at our Speeder 300 and confirmed that we “couldn't have come up with a more apt name”. It is a great start to their in-depth review of our fitness bike and a welcome confirmation of what we set out to do when we introduced the Speeder to our range.

Over the test period, the team was impressed with the balance of speed and efficiency on one side and the endurance-style riding position on the other, which makes the Speeder extremely versatile for a wide range of uses.

Alongside being hugely complimentary about the frame and fork, its handling and its nimble character, the 2x10 drivetrain also caught their attention, adding an extra level of sportiness to the bike.

Here is their review conclusion:
“I was very pleasantly surprised by the Speeder. It felt way quicker than I was expecting and offers plenty of performance for those who don't want drop handlebars. It's versatile, too, covering everything from commuting to fitness rides and even some light touring. Merida has done well on the budget too, especially when many other brands are offering 1x, whereas I think the 2x option better suits this style of bike – the fast hybrid.

The Speeder lives up to its name – a nimble, flat-barred commuter, urban runabout or back lane blaster.”
