MISSION 9000 is a "stiff, nimble, grin-inducing all-terrain bike" in 9/10 road.cc review

In a superb review of the new MISSION 9000, road.cc has given our new gravel race and all-road machine an excellent 9/10 score, saying that it "blur the lines between where current gravel bikes are heading and high-speed endurance road bikes".

Designed to be fast on any surface, the MISSION uses an all-carbon frame and fork to deliver a lightweight but off-road capable bike with race geometry.

It's this balance of all terrain ability and speed that impressed their tester, saying: "The whole bike just feels really balanced and surefooted. On hardpacked sections it can be ridden very hard, the odd slip here and there is easily handled with a shift in bodyweight, and its responsiveness means it feels just like a race bike".

The MISSION uses our CF4 level carbon fibre to create a durable but comfortable frame and, along with the 40 mm tyre clearance, it led the reviewer to say "It feels planted, easily controllable, and nailed on between machine and rider" and that the bike is "stiff, nimble, grin-inducing all-terrain bike that is incredibly well specced for the money".

While the MISSION has speed as a priority, the small details of the frame were also signled out for praise, with the tester saying "Merida has added some neat touches too, such as the G.U.T. storage system".

In summary, they said "this is a very impressive bike indeed, taking the speed and performance of a road bike and the ruggedness and versatility of a gravel machine and blending them perfectly."
