eONE-SIXTY gets the thumbs up by Bikeboard.at
Austrian bike (and board) website powerhouse bikeboard.at has done a super in-depth review of our eONE-SIXTY 900E and just loved every aspect of it. Starting at the specification and geometry, going via the frame, motor and battery configuration, all the way to the impressive up and downhill characteristics. We have translated the verdict for you here.
VERDICT (TRANSLATED FROM THE GERMAN ORIGINAL):
The rather noble looking 2019 900-E model keeps impressing with its powerful Shimano STePS-E8000 motor, high tech suspension components, brutal braking power of the Shimano Saint four pot disc brakes, super strong DT Swiss Spline HX1501 wheels paired with Maxxis DHR II 2.8” plus tyres and outstanding accuracy of the 11 speed Shimano Di2 components.
However, even more important than the first class ‘top trumps’ spec sheet is the incredible ride which this super-bike delivers on the ups, the downs, the turns and with or without motor support. The lively geometry, which is closely related to a ‘normal’ enduro bike, the relatively low weight of around 22kg, the immense quietness and the pleasant riding characteristics of the Shimano motor (which in the eco and trail mode offers a gentle and predictable level of assistance without the feeling that you would crash into the invisible ‘beyond 25km/h’ wall), make this possible. Furthermore, the pedalling on flatterer sections feels very natural so that you often refrain from using any assistance level (so ride 100% under your own power) to increase the training effect as well as the reach of the battery.
Wherever you look on the 900-E model, you just can’t find any shortcuts. Even the quality of the hydroformed aluminium frame including its many details, like integrated cable routing of the gear cables, brake and dropper post hoses via the Smart-Entry System, simply leaves no wish unanswered. The retails price is ‘gold standard’ as well by now, as the eONE-SIXTY 900-E, due to a changed dollar exchange rate, has gone up by €500 in comparison to last year’s model.
A superb review and a very detailed analysis of our top end e-enduro bike.
