MERIDA's Top Tips for Christmas Bike Shopping

So you’ve decided to buy someone special a bike this Christmas – how exciting! We’ve made a list of our best and favourite bikes that you can use as a bit of a guide if you’re struggling to decide – check it out here.

Now that you have an idea of what you want to get them here’s our guide for buying a bike this Christmas.

Save the stress

Nobody likes that rush on Christmas Eve to find last-minute presents and, even worse, needing to find alternative gifts last minute to replace the items that have already sold out.

Make your life easy and allow yourself to enjoy the exciting build up to Christmas by ordering early! The earlier you get in the better. Talk to your local bike shop about lay-by, pre-ordering and any other options they may have. Find your local MERIDA dealer here.

Keep the surprise a surprise and buy online

Want to keep the present a surprise? Wonderful!

The MERIDA Click & Collect feature allows you to order the exact bike you would like in the exact size and colour online. Then all you have to do is select which store you would like to collect it from and the shop will get in contact with you once it’s ready for collection. How simple! Start looking for your bike here.

Saving money doesn’t have to mean second-hand

So you’ve found the perfect bike to give but it’s a little bit out of budget, or maybe no shops near you have it in the right size. That’s okay!

We’d recommend that you have a look at models from previous years. It’s a great way to save a little bit of money without needing to buy second-hand and details of the differences between models are all online with our bike archive which can be found here. Who knows, maybe the bike you're after is also available in the colour you’re dreaming of too!

For us, bike shops are heaven on earth

If you have any questions, feel a little confused, or just want to find out whether the bike you’re thinking of will be the best fit for its new rider without spoiling the Christmas surprise, just talk to your local bike shop.

It may sound simple but nothing beats heading in store and asking the team at your local shop for a bit of guidance or advice – after all, that’s what they do! Find your nearest MERIDA dealer here.
