Granfondo tests the race readiness of our SILEX 8000

Originally designed as an adventure and bikepacking companion, our SILEX stunned the world when Matej Mohorič rode it to victory in the UCI Gravel World Championships in October 2023.

Given the changes that have occurred in the world of gravel racing in recent years, the Granfondo team were keen to compare our SILEX 8000 with a range of modern race gravel bikes.

While it might not bring the snappiness and weight focus of dedicated race gravel bikes, our SILEX continued to impress the testers when it came to stability, versatility and comfort, all elements, which in particular in long and demanding gravel races can be 'match-deciding'. “The MERIDA SILEX 8000 plays to its strengths on rough courses and ultra-distance gravel races.
