Merida athlete Oliver McKenna is British Enduro National Champ

Merida supported rider Oliver McKenna recently clinched the coveted Lloyds British National Enduro Champion jersey on the eOne-Eighty, taking victory in the e-MTB Enduro Masters category.

Held on the rugged trails of mid Wales in Machynelleth over two days, the event gathers the very best enduro racers in the United Kingdom to see who earn the right to wear the National Champion jersey for the year. Against a stacked field and with some extremely tight racing, Oliver managed to stretch out a six-second lead over the six timed stages, enough to keep his rival in second place.

Oliver has been campaigning the National circuit on the new eOne-Eighty, with the powerful Bosch CX drive unit and an 800 Wh battery, claiming a number of wins to his name after switching to this new machine.

"The new eOne-Eighty is insane! It feels amazing and I'd been frothing to race it at National Champs, so I'm really pleased with the result."

This result proves that this bike can cut it on the race track just as well as in the bike park, with 180 mm of travel at either end and geometry that balances flat out rough terrain ability with enough agility to twist through tight trails.

With one more race left in the season, Oliver has his eye on the overall Championship standings. We wish him luck!
