THE eFLOAT

Whether you’re getting to work, taking a cross-town shopping trip or escaping it all to recharge your batteries at the weekend, the Merida eFloat lineup has a bike for you. By combining our expertise in aluminium frame design with Bosch’s refined and powerful drive systems, numerous battery options and intuitive display units, we’ve created models that are subtly adapted to suit the needs of all-around urban, trekking and light cargo duties. Thanks to practical and versatile frame designs paired with strong and supportive Bosch drive systems, each will give you more time to do the things that matter.

Quality display and control units are essential on bikes such as the eFloat models and we use a different number of the multitude of options Bosch offers depending on the price point and application. To control the drive system and display battery life, we use the Bosch LED remote control or the Purion 200 display controller. For the stand-alone displays, we specify the Kiox 300 or Kiox 500 display, depending on the model. The Kiox 300 has a roughly 2“ wide colour screen and the Kiox 500 has a larger ~2.8“ wide colour screen. Both can display basic information such as speed, battery range, assistance level, but in conjunction with the Bosch eBike Flow smartphone app, they can also be used to navigate or show incoming calls and messages. It’s also possible to use the display unit as the key to lock the drive system of the bike, disabling the drive unit and adding extra security to the mechanical protection of the eFloat’s physical lock.
