THE NEW eONE-SIXTY

Same spirit, rider focused

Lightweight, full power

The age of the traditional e-MTB is over - which kind of e-MTBer are you?

Is long-range your priority, or will you sacrifice battery capacity for high-performance handling? Do you need to sacrifice the support of a full power drive unit in the search for reduced weight? Trying to satisfy all these requirements in one bike means making some serious compromises.

With this in mind, we’ve developed two new bikes sharing the same core attributes on a completely new platform. Both benefit from the development time and testing that went into the award winning regular One-Sixty range, bringing innovation in suspension, sizing and geometry to the forefront. Each has a different focus.

The New eOne-Sixty

Two Options - No Compromises

The new eOne-Sixty CF has a lightweight full carbon frame with an integrated 600 Wh battery to deliver a full-power e-bike with minimal mass and uncompromising handling. If you’re a race head looking to maximise agility and handling fun, this is your perfect team mate.

The new eOne-Sixty Lite sports a robust aluminium frame and maximises range thanks to a user-removable, high-capacity 750 Wh battery. If you’re a mountain shredder who gets to the top of one peak and then rides to the next, this is the bike for you.

Key Features

Advanced eMTB Specific Suspension

The suspension platform shared by both models is derived from the FAST kinematics first seen on the One-Sixty and One-Forty models but it’s been fine tuned to the needs of eMTBs. It offers size specific kinematics and progression, matching the frame size not only to the rider’s height but also to their riding style.

The eOne-Sixty CF and LITE models use P-FLEX flexstay technology, reducing both maintenance and  weightand weight. As proven with the regular One-Sixty, One-Forty and One-Twenty the lack of a rear pivot does not affect the longevity and strength of the frame.

A Flip Chip is incorporated in the rocker, allowing the rear wheel size to be changed without affecting the geometry.

A 27.5" rear wheel results in lively handling and 14mm extra travel than a more stable 29" wheel.

Progression is size specific, increasing as the frame size gets bigger. This offers greater  reserves and the support required for taller, potentially heavier, riders and those preferring a longer setup whilst also enabling smaller, lighter riders, to access all the travel.

Offset Shocks and Suspension Travel

Offset shocks allow room for the range extender battery or a water bottle and plenty of knee clearance. Revised, eMTB-specific kinematics and a flip-chip for wheel size adjustment. Travel has been increased at both ends to 170 mm front and 174 mm rear (27.5" rear wheel), giving the eOne-Sixty even more off-road capability.

New Geometry

Improved Handling

Our new geometry has been heavily influenced by the success of the original eOne-Sixty and the award winning regular One-Sixty, combining incredible climbing power with impressive trail capability.  It's progressive for high performance and it's been tweaked to better suit e-bikes.

Shorter reaches and higher front ends have been introduced to improve agility.

Compared to the previous eOne-Sixty, the stack has been reduced, creating a more aggressive riding position with a lower front end. As with the regular One-Sixty, we believe it’s better to have the option to raise the stack with spacers or a higher rise bar than to be stuck with a high head tube and a bar you can’t lower. The geometry of the new carbon eOne-Sixty CF and the aluminium Lite is identical; it’s been modernised but retains the highly acclaimed handling characteristics of the previous eOne-Sixty.

Agilometer Sizing

Choose the size for your riding style

A 30-230 mm travel adjustable dropper post (excluding the eOne-Sixty 675), combined with a low stand-over height allows riders to select a bike size based on their preferences rather than their height.

Short, Mid and Long sizing reflects the proven Agilometer sizing system, accommodating all needs from long-reach stability to shorter-reach manoeuvrability or more upright riding comfort.

Materials

Carbon or Aluminium

The new eOne-Sixty is available as a carbon CF or an aluminium Lite version.

Carbon fibre creates a lighter and stiffer frame; an intergrated battery on this model reduces weight further as there are no cut outs to allow access.

Aluminium delivers the same reliability and specification to riders less concerned by weight or on a tighter budget.

Merida Team TR II Dropper Post

Travel is adjustable from 30-230 mm via a simple-to-use seat post collar tightening mechanism, integral to the flexibility of the Agilometer sizing and comfort concept. The 34.9 mm size reduces stresses on the dropper post internals and the frame, further improving  durability.

Wire Port

Gear, brake and dropper post cables, enter the frame through a headset cover, creating a clutter-free cockpit and reducing cable rattle. ACROS Block Lock headsets help prevent bars rotating and damaging the frame in a crash.

POWERED BY SHIMANO STEPS

Class Leading Performance and Refined Features

Shimano STePS power systems are a market leader in the world of e-bikes, offering smooth, reliable and highly effective pedal support power delivery, with the ability to pair various battery and control elements to create the perfect e-bike drivetrain.

The lightweight EP801 motor unit sits at the top of the STePS motor hierarchy, aimed at performance-orientated mountain bikers. Delivering a maximum torque of 85 Nm with peak power of 600W and a finely tuned motor set-up, it perfectly complements the eOne-Sixty frame, providing support in demanding riding situations.

A 360 Wh range extender is available separately.

The EP801 motor unit sits at the very top of the STePS motor hierarchy and is aimed at performance-orientated mountain bikers. Delivering a maximum torque of 85 Nm and a finely tuned motor set-up, the EP801 fits perfectly into our eONE-SIXTY line-up. In comparison to its predecessor, the EP8, it delivers a maximum torque of 85 Nm with a higher peak power (600W rather than 500W), giving you more support during demanding riding situations. The weight has been reduced to 2.6 kg by using a magnesium housing.

All new eONE-SIXTY models can increase their battery capacity by fitting a 360 Wh range extender.

Full power assistance and range at mid-support weight. The new carbon-framed eONE-SIXTY CF is our race and performance-orientated e-bike. Key features are an all-carbon frame with a non-removal 600 Wh internal battery. By not offering a battery cut-out for battery removal and using sophisticated carbon lay-ups, we could massively increase stiffness and further reduce weight in comparison to its predecessor. The low overall weight and low in the downtube battery position deliver maximum handling and manoeuvrability for when every second counts.
