Superlight, using the highest quality carbon fibres and an EPS core (frame weight approx. 880 g BIG.NINE - M, including paint) making it one of the lightest frames in the market. Aero profiled down tube, leaf spring profiled chain and seat stays for maximum comfort. Boost axle standard and tapered head tube deliver stiffness and steering precision. ‘Smart Entry’ cable routing prevents rattling. Includes integrated down tube and chainstay protectors for extra frame protection.

All models down to the BIG.NINE 40 feature a 30.9 mm seatpost, the enhanced connection area increases the strength around the top tube/seat tube join and allows the option of fitting a dropper seat post. Models down to BIG.NINE LIMITED allow internal cable routing for the dropper post while the remaining models would require external routing.

Cables, housings and brake hoses are clamped under tension to prevent rattling when the trails and roads get rough. All inlets are completely interchangeable to deal with Di2, hydraulic hoses, brake cable and gear cable housings etc.

Our carbon (CF) and aluminium (LITE) models feature a long 422 mm reach, steep 73,5° seat angle, slack 70° head angle and an 80 mm stem (frame size M), affording the next generation XC geometry. Aggressive agility meets stable calmness; perfect for today’s demanding courses.




The seat and chainstay profile and carbon lay-up schedule are adapted to work like a flat leaf spring, absorbing surface bumps and reducing vibrations.



Using a tapered head tube with 1 1/8" bearings in the top and 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" in the bottom creates superb stiffness and precise, confidence inspiring steering.



Sometimes called ‘double pass welding’, a second pass over the weld gives a clean organic look to the frame. At first glance, you will be convinced it is carbon.



Cables are routed through the frame, entering and exiting through smooth sockets. The bike looks neat, whilst the cables are protected from moisture and dirt.

Bikes/frames with the symbol ‘Di2 Ready’ are prepared for the installation of Di2 technology with battery mounting in the seat post or within the fork steerer.



In-board brake mounts are positioned within the rear triangle to protect them. The caliper supported by the stronger chainstay is able to distribute braking forces better. Internal cable routing is also easier and neater via the chainstay.



Boost standard – wider axle widths; the by 6 mm increased now 148 mm wide rear through axle (12mm axle diameter) allows a shallower spoke angle for stiffer wheels, especially beneficial in 29ers or for MTB wheels that are used in very demanding conditions. The Boost standard also offers greater tyre clearance in the frame.



To protect the integrity of carbon frames, the fibres are bonded together with an epoxy resin with added nano particles, increasing impact resistance by up to 40%.



When creating the individual carbon elements, an inflatable bladder is used to ensure there are no wrinkles inside the tube as these can add weight and create weakness. This results in a lighter, stiffer and stronger frame.



The suspension fork and/or rear shock can be locked out via a ‘remote control’ lever on the handlebar.



Patent pending design. Carbon is good at absorbing vibration but to increase comfort we shape the seat posts using our exclusive S-Flex design.
