CyclingElectric to review our eFLOAT CC 400 EQ
CyclingElectric is a UK-based e-bike publication covering everything from e-MTBs to e-cargo bikes, with a particular focus on one of the fastest-growing categories in the market: versatile e-hybrid and e-trekking bikes. That made our Bosch-powered eFloat CC 400 EQ a perfect candidate for review.
As the most capable model in the eFloat range, the CC blends high-volume 2.4" tyres, aggressive mountain bike-inspired tread, and a 120 mm suspension fork to deliver extra comfort, confidence, and control when the route heads off-road.
The CyclingElectric team praised the bike’s specification, frame design, and thoughtful detailing, all of which contribute to its impressive all-terrain performance. “I took the eFloat over some pretty challenging terrain, including rocky, rooty and steep singletrack paths, which occasionally defeat me on a full-suspension bike costing twice as much. Suffice to say, it's the rider, not the bike, that will hold you back from exploring with the eFloat”, they said.
Beyond its versatility and confident off-road handling, the reviewers also highlighted the quality drivetrain and practical finishing kit, including the Lezyne front light, high-capacity rear rack, kickstand, and integrated rear lock.
Overall, the eFloat CC 400 EQ made a strong impression, securing an impressive 4 out of 5 test score from the CyclingElectric team. Summing up the bike, they concluded: “Overall, the Merida eFloat CC 400 EQ is a very well-equipped bike capable of taking on urban tasks or country exploring with ease. There are tons of power on tap, delivered quietly through an easily-managed motor system. The CUES drivetrain is likely to last for ages and cost buttons to repair when worn out. All of the key accessories you’d want are built in and are of high quality.”
