CyclingElectric gives our eSILEX+ 600 a fantastic 4.25 out of 5 score

UK-based e-bike website CyclingElectric had a closer look at our eSILEX+ 600 and were impressed with the comfort, the reliable motor, the specification, the storage options, the compatibility with a range extender and last but not least the simple and sleek design.

Let’s look into these details a little bit more.

Comfort:
“When I'm riding gravel, I like to be comfortable, as often, gravel bikes with dual purpose for road riding are just too stiff through the saddle and seat posts. However, this was not a problem with the Merida eSILEX 600, and I found it supple.”

Storage options:
“…the Merida eSILEX 600, have plenty of mounting points on the bike for mounting fenders and pannier racks. There are mounting points on the forks to mount pannier racks onto the bike, but what I also find positive is the multiple mounting points on the down tube, seat post, and the underside of the bike's top tube. This allows the rider to mount a range extender and multiple bottle cages, allowing for longer adventures on the bike.”

The motor and range extender:
“I never found the motor wanting…”
“Paired together (battery and range extender), it can help alleviate any range anxiety…can give you up to 4.5 hours of extra riding…”

Their final verdict:
“It's a very competent bike. It's comfortable to sit on and ride, and has a decent motor to help on any incline or surface. The bike has ample storage options, and the rider has really been thought of here, giving plenty of space to help them on their gravel ride. I enjoyed this electric gravel bike, and riding it over various terrain.”
