A new breed of city bike. New for 2022 is the eSPRESSO URBAN, which offers an even lighter weight package than the rest of the eSPRESSO range thanks to the use of a highly efficient, low-drag MAHLE ebikemotion X35+ hub mounted motor system and 250 Wh integrated battery. It delivers natural feeling support and is easy to pedal above the assistance limit, making it perfect for sporty riders after a sleek and slimline alternative. Thanks to the slimmed down tubing that houses the internal 250 Wh battery, the low step-through frame design gives even more clearance when mounting or dismounting. You can even use an externally mounted 208 Wh MAHLE Range Extender to boost range. Add in the fact it comes fully equipped with mudguards, rack, lock, lights and a kickstand and it’s your ideal city companion.
KEY COMPONENTS
LOW AND WIDE STEP-THROUGH
The lack of a mid mounted motor allows the eSPRESSO URBAN to offer one of the lowest and widest step-through heights in the market, making mounting and dismounting a breeze.
MAHLE MOTOR AND BATTERY
The rear hub MAHLE motor system X35+ offers 40 Nm of smooth and drag-free support and is powered by a 250 Wh internal battery. The iWOC Trio switch allows the system to be controlled without taking your hands off the handlebars and different colours of the switch indicate the support as well as the battery level.
WANT TO GO FURTHER?
Should the 250 Wh battery not be enough, or you intend to go for an extra-long outing, then you can fit a 208 Wh range extender. The range extender can be attached to one of the bottle cage fixing points and plugs straight into the system for immediate range extension.
SUPER LIGHT
Using the super compact MAHLE hub motor and battery system in combination with our weight-optimised aluminium frame package allows us to build a very lightweight urban e-bike, that is easy to handle when out in the urban jungle but also more manageable if it needs to be lifted on and or a bike carrier or perhaps being carried down some steps.
FAST-ROLLING 700C WHEELS
Our eSPRESSO URBAN models roll on fast-rolling 700c wheels, ideal for rides on roads, lanes and smooth tracks. We fit tyres with reflective sidewalls and puncture protection that will get you to your destination quickly and safely.
MASSLOAD CARRIER
The eSPRESSO URBAN range is equipped with the new stylish Massload rear carrier that offers a maximum load of 27 kg, features an integrated rear light and allows a child seat with the MIK HD system to be directly mounted onto the carrier.
