THE MERIDA EX 2019 - 3-day enduro Exmoor, UK

What a weekend! Last weekend saw THE MERIDA EX 2019, a challenging 3-day mountain bike enduro take place on the trail littered hills of Exmoor, UK. Known for its breathtaking views, tough climbs and its super rewarding timed stages, THE MERIDA EX 2019 impressed the exclusive field of riders once more. Flawless organisation, a well-stocked bar, endless amounts of freshly prepared food and the world-famous enduro vintage tea stop also contributed to a perfect weekend of enduro racing.

An exclusive field of 80 riders plus a healthy dose of international mountain bike press descended on Allerford to get stuck into three days of exciting racing, but also to witness the ‘press riding launch’ of the new eONE-FORTY. The eONE-FORTY is the ‘smaller brother’ of the recently launched eONE-SIXTY and is the perfect bike for the tough climbs, twisty single track and technical descents… which Exmoor and THE MERIDA EX is famous for. The feedback on the new bike was impressive, and the new eONE-SIXTY and eONE-FORTY managed to grab 1st and 2nd spot in the newly added and hugely popular e-bike category…not a bad start at all. For further details on the eONE-FORTY, please click here.

With 24 timed stages over the weekend, the international field of riders had a busy schedule when it came to time on the bike, but at THE MERIDA EX the ‘apres bike’ time is almost more important, with yoga sessions, a dinner party, enduro quiz, DJs, live music, games on the lawn and top-notch facilities rounding out the event offering.

Racing was intense and super close over the weekend. The results can be checked here.
