CATEGORY HIGHLIGHTS

We are offering the SILEX in two options. The 'classic' SILEX standing on 700c wheels, being the perfect 'all-road' bike which loves lanes, forest tracks and gravel or the new more 'rugged' SILEX+ version, which can easily tackle more demanding terrain due to its more burly 650B wheels and 45 mm tyres. The choice is yours. Both options are based on the same frame, so wheels are exchangeable at a later date.

As standard, the SILEX comes with 700x38C tyres and the SILEX+ with 650Bx45C. The maximum tyre size for 700c wheels is 42 mm (road profile) while with 650B wheels being fitted, tyres up to 50 mm wide road profile tyres on the carbon and up to 42 mm on the aluminium bikes can be run.

CF2 carbon frame with upright gravel geometry for stable but nimble handling. Tapered head tube and 12 mm bolt through axles provide stiffness and steering precision. Featuring internal cable routing and BB386 bottom bracket.

In line with the design ethos of versatility and go anywhere, the SILEX is available with a wide range of luggage and accessory options including frame bags and big saddle bags.

The majority of SILEX models are fitted with 1x drivetrains for simplicity, resulting in weight reduction and fewer moving parts. A 1x can deliver 98 % of the gear range of a 50-34 compact chainset with an 11-32 road set up.

Featuring 12 mm bolt through axles for maximum frame stiffness, making wheel alignment much easier when refitting. The flat mount rear brake is mounted on the chainstay for better dissipation of braking forces and protecting it from damage in the rear triangle. Disc cooler technology draws heat away through CNC-milled cooling fins, particularly important when you are fully loaded.

Lightweight carbon or sophisticated aluminium frame options. Key differences, other than construction materials, are that the carbon frame has a lower weight and is equipped with an integrated seat-post clamp to minimise turbulence at the top tube.

Technologies

X-TAPER HEADTUBE

Our X-Tapered headtube offers the space for a tapered fork to be fitted. Tapered forks offer superb stiffness and precise and deliver confidence-inspiring steering.

IMAGE

INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING

Cables are routed through the frame, entering and exiting through smooth sockets. The bike looks neat, whilst the cables are protected from moisture and dirt.

IMAGE

SMART ENTRY

Cables, housings and brake hoses are clamped under tension to prevent rattling when the trails or roads get rough. All inlets are completely interchangeable to deal with Di2, hydraulic hoses, brake cable and gear cable housings etc.

IMAGE

DI2 READY

Bikes/frames with the symbol ‘Di2 Ready’ are prepared for the installation of Di2 technology with battery mounting in the seat post or within the fork steerer.

IMAGE

NANO MATRIX CARBON

To protect the integrity of carbon frames, the fibres are bonded together with an epoxy resin with added nano particles, increasing impact resistance by up to 40%.

IMAGE

AWS

When creating the individual carbon elements, an inflatable bladder is used to ensure there are no wrinkles inside the tube as these can add weight and create weakness. This results in a lighter, stiffer and stronger frame.

IMAGE

F-MOUNT

‘F-Mount’ equipped bikes have integrated fittings for mud guards (some bikes require model specific mud guards), making fitting fast and simple.

IMAGE

C-MOUNT

‘C-Mount’ equipped bikes have the fixing points for a rear rack already integrated (some bikes require model specific rear rack), making fitting fast, simple and reliable.

DISC COOLER

A forged aluminium component under the front and/or rear caliper allowing heat to dissipate through CNC-milled cooling fins. Tests show that temperatures are reduced by around 35 % and cooling times are shortened, optimising the performance of the brake.
