E-MOUNTAIN BIKE Magazine on eONE-SIXTY 975: “It offers excellent bang for your buck”

In a large grouptest of e-MTB models from many brands, the eONE-SIXTY 975 has held its own against tough and more expensive competition, with their tester saying that it is: “trimmed uncompromisingly for trail performance and can easily keep up with bikes twice as expensive”.

However, while the aluminium framed eONE-SIXTY with the new Simplo 750 Wh battery delivered powerful value for money, the handling of the bike was also highly praised: “The MERIDA eONE-SIXTY 975 shines in many respects… When gravity takes over, you’re nicely integrated with the bike. Right away, the MERIDA slaps a massive grin on your face, striking an excellent balance between agility and composure, and allowing you to flick the bike from corner to corner”.

With a combination of balanced handling and the mixed 29” front and 27.5” rear wheels, the eONE-SIXTY has long been a benchmark for battery-assisted bike handling for both experienced and novice riders, a fact noted by the reviewers: “The intuitive and predictable handling inspires huge amounts of confidence, encouraging even inexperienced riders to swap the blue trails for black lines”.
  
With a Shimano EP8 drive unit paired with quality SRAM suspension components and the new Shimano Linkglide drivetrain, the equipment on the bike also impressed: “The solid spec doesn’t just ensure maximum performance on the trail, but also convinces in everyday riding situations”.

While facing up against such stiff competition, the bike held its own, with the review concluding that: “the MERIDA performs incredibly well on the trail, but also cuts a great figure on long tours and in everyday life, where it impresses with excellent all round qualities. If you’re looking for tons of performance at a small price… the MERIDA might be just what you’re looking for.”
