INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING

Kabler/wire er trukket gjennom rammen, og innganger og utganger går gjennom smidige gjennomføringer. Sykkelen ser ryddig ut og kabler/wire er beskyttet mot fuktighet og smuss.

NANO MATRIX CARBON

For å beskytte karbonrammenes integritet limes fibrene sammen med en epoxymasse som er tilsatt nanopartikler, noe som øker motstandskraften mot støt med opptil 40 %.

AWS

Når vi lager de enkelte karbonelementene, benytter vi en oppblåsbar blære for å sørge for at det ikke dannes skrukker på innsiden av røret, fordi disse legger til vekt og utgjør svake punkter. Resultatet er en lettere, stivere og sterkere ramme.

NACA FASTBACK PROFILE

Aerodynamikken er basert på en NACA0028 dråpeprofil (National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics) som er kuttet av. Luften beveger seg rundt røret som om den manglende bakre delen av dråpeprofilen fremdeles var der, og det sparer vekt med mindre materiale.

DISC COOLER

En smidd aluminiumskomponent under fremre og/eller bakre kaliper leder varmen vekk via CNC-maskinerte kjølefinner. Tester viser at temperaturene reduseres med cirka 35 % og kjøletiden er redusert slik at bremsenes ytelser optimaliseres.

INTERNAL CLAMP

Designarbeidet med WorldTour-sykler ligner det som gjøres i Formel 1: tilsynelatende ubetydelige detaljer kan tjene inn tiendeler. Integrert setepinneklemme minimerer turbulens ved overrøret.

WIRE PORT

MERIDA designed headsets that enable all control cables from the handlebar to enter the frame through the headset cover, creating a clean and uncluttered look, allowing for a lighter, stronger and more aerodynamic frame structure than with conventional cable ports. Depending on the model, the cables are run completely internally (including the bar and stem) or semi-integrated, where the cables enter the frame underneath the stem.
