"MERIDA have delivered a seriously strong bike here"

These are the words of the Gran Fondo team after testing our new REACTO TEAM. Another fan of our long-established REACTO platform, the test team had the opportunity to evaluate the TEAM over several weeks. They also included it in their latest Aero Road Bike Group Test in issue 032 of their online magazine. But more about that, and the fantastic outcome of the test, later.

One of the first things the team noticed when testing the REACTO TEAM was its stiffness, commenting, “Combined with the Vision Metron RS 60 wheels, complete with carbon spokes, and the fast Continental GP5000 S TR tyres, the bike delivers outstanding efficiency. What stands out even more, though, is its punchy acceleration. Whether climbing or launching into a sprint, the REACTO TEAM seems to surge forward almost effortlessly. Its lively character also makes it huge fun on rolling terrain, a feeling that is only amplified by the bike’s impressive efficiency and the sense of gliding along with very little effort.” Fantastic feedback on the newly designed frame and the chosen components on the TEAM.

However, the REACTO is designed to strike the perfect balance of aerodynamics, comfort, and handling — a principle for which it has been renowned for many years. The Gran Fondo team found that these principles were executed perfectly, pointing out that efficiency is “complemented by perfectly balanced handling, with a stiff fork and a rigid head tube area, the MERIDA REACTO TEAM can be steered with outstanding precision. For us, it strikes the ideal balance between agility and composure. At high speeds and with normal weight distribution, the bike remains stable and confidence-inspiring. But when the road gets more demanding and your weight shifts forward, the REACTO becomes sharp and incredibly direct. It is a combination that blends a high level of riding confidence with genuine riding fun, something only very few bikes manage to achieve.”
