"It corners like it's on rails"

REACTO 10K

A long-standing fan of our REACTO concept, the Cycling Weekly team joined our launch in Spain to find out weather the 5th Generation of the REACTO would seamlessly follow in the footsteps of its predecessor or would take a different approach.

From the outset, tester Aaron was impressed by the rapid acceleration offered by the new generation: “As an aero bike, the new Reacto does what it says on the tin – it’s rapid and accelerates with ease”. While it is perhaps not that surprising that the REACTO responds instantly to any pressure applied to the pedals, it was also the climbing efficiency that made an impression: “Even during seated manoeuvres, the bike climbs with ease – and dare I say, could potentially nullify the need for a dedicated climbing bike.”

Another key feature that left its impression was the new TEAM CW 1P cockpit that comes as standard on their REACTO 10K test bike, commenting that, “The new Team CW 1P gullwing cockpit is lovely. It’s as aggressive as it is ergonomic and allows for a super-aero position depending on the width.”

However, the test team highlighted the impressive descending skills of the new REACTO as one of the standout features. They mentioned that “the biggest improvements to Reacto have come in the way it descends. While the geometry is largely unchanged from the outgoing model, the slammed front end, slightly longer wheelbase and chainstays make it very predictable and stable, instilling huge trust in cornering situations. Grip is abundant, and this ensures the Reacto corners like it’s on rails.” Not a bad skill to bring to the table as more and more races are decided on the descends.

Their final first ride verdict:
“…as far as aero road bikes go, the Reacto feels like it could have one of the best ride qualities in the category.”
