“A strong all-rounder”: the MISSION 4000 impresses in Gravelbike Magazine
In the latest issue of Germany’s Gravelbike Magazine (01/2026), the entry-level model of our recently launched MISSION race gravel bike had the chance to prove itself.
The MISSION 4000 impressed the editorial team with a well-thought-through frame concept and excellent value for money.
The testers particularly highlighted the first-class frame. Thanks to its “impressive frame set” and “fast-rolling Maxxis tyres”, the MISSION 4000 proved to be a “fast machine for gravel and tarmac” and accelerates and maintains speed easily. The “solid mechanical gear system” also “does a great job”.
The MISSION also impressed in terms of comfort. Furthermore, “its handling, which remains strong even in technical sections, is beyond reproach”.
All in all, the MISSION 4000 proved to be a “strong all-rounder” that offers plenty of customisation potential, “thanks to its first-class frame”.
Editor’s verdict:
“With the MISSION 4000, MERIDA offers a top-class frame with functional features at a competitive price. The bike may like it fast, but in the budget version, it leans more towards being an all-rounder.”
