LITHOS 10K tried and tested by E-MOUNTAINBIKE

The stream of LITHOS reviews continues, with another great feature from the team at Germany’s E-MOUNTAINBIKE website.

Always one of the first websites who are keen to look at our latest products, the team instantly took a liking to some of the key features of the new bike, like its “clean, purposeful design and well-balanced proportions”, the various cable routing options, the large amount of frame protectors and the various small additions (i.e. under saddle multi tool, light and removable real axle leaver that conceals a 4 and 6 mm Allen key).

Besides these key features, it is the flawless spec choice, including a Fox Podium Factory upside-down fork, DHX Live Valve Neo shock and the powerful Bosch CX-R motor, that impressed the test team.

Out on the trail, the LITHOS “impresses above all with its exceptional traction” on the ups, weather “tackling technical trail sections or steep gravel ramps”. Its bags of traction, paired with a very central and sporty riding position and ample motor power from Bosch’s CX-R motor, help ensure “that the motor’s power is transferred efficiently to the trail.”

The picture is not much different on the descents, where “the LITHOS immediately shows what it was built for.”  “From the very first pedal strokes, the bike inspires huge amounts of confidence and encourages you to keep your fingers off the brakes, to experiment with new lines, and steadily increase your speed. Despite its clear race-oriented DNA, however, the handling remains intuitive and approachable”, so the team’s thoughts on the LITHOS’ descending skills. They continue to praise the bike’s “balance” and the fact that the LITHOS “he LITHOS combines a level of composure normally associated with much longer and more cumbersome bikes with surprisingly agile handling”. “Few e-mountain bikes manage to balance traction, composure and agility as convincingly as the new LITHOS, which delivers an impressively complete overall package”, so their final thoughts on the LITHOS’ overall performance.
