You want to hit the trails at full gas, whether they're up or down - and you want to do it all day. The NINETY-SIX 6000 is our trail-focussed version of our cutting edge cross-country race weapon, pairing a longer travel 120 mm RockShox SID fork to our taut but effective 100 mm of rear travel. A SRAM NX 12-speed group translates effort into speed, while a larger four-piston front brake and more aggressive tyres will back you up when you hit territory that should be out of bounds for a bike that climbs so well.

The NINETY-SIX is the latest incarnation of our former World Cup proven XC and marathon machine. It inherits the forward-surging race genes of the old NINETY-SIX and combines it with a new readiness and ability to tackle today’s demanding XC and marathon courses. The carbon fibre frame platform and P-FLEX suspension is the perfect basis for a fun-packed, fast and trail loving short travel full suspension machine that helps define what a modern cross-country race bike should be. It's able to take on the rougher than ever world-class race tracks as well as the trail riders who want hyper-speed climbing with the ability to descend like never before. For those that want a cross-country bike for race duties rather than high-speed trail fun, the RC models deliver a short travel punch with a 100 mm fork in the front, super fast rolling tyres and a lighter front brake.

X-TAPER HEADTUBE

O melhor de dois mundos. Uma forma cónica com um diâmetro maior na parte inferior e um diâmetro menor na parte superior para poder reduzir peso. Ascaixas de direção cónicas vão sempre associadas suspensões cónicas também ou a adaptadores que as tornam compatíveis com os tubos rectos. O resultado é uma maior rigidez e uma maior precisão da direcção, inclusivamente nas condições mais extremas. E tudo isto sem penalizar o quadro com peso adicional.

INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING

Nos últimos anos a passagem interna dos cabos converteu-se numa tendência que todas as marcas seguimos. Cada vez mais quadros MERIDA são montados com todos os cabos a passar internamente. Mantém o  aspecto da bicicleta muito limpo, e faz com que as guias se conservem melhor evitando que se sujem ou se cortem no contacto com pedras ou raízes.

NANO MATRIX CARBON

Os quadros de carbono têm normalmente que suportar fortes impactos e muito stress. Para proteger a integridade dos quadros de carbono, a MERIDA utiliza a tecnología mais avançada. As fibras de carbono são unidas usando resina epoxi e nano partículas. As nano partículas podem aumentar a resistência do carbono um 40%. Todas as nossas bicicletas de gama alta contam com a tecnología NANO MATRIX CARBON.

AWS

A fibra de carbono oferece muitas mais posibilidades na hora de fabricar e na construção do que outros materiais, como por exemplo, o alumínio. A superficie do carbono, já por si, é fascinante. Mas, o que é que se passa no interior? A MERIDA usa moldes de EPS internos para eliminar as rugas que se criam durante o proceso de fabrico. O resultado é um quadro mais rígido, mais duradouro e mais leve.

NON-SLIP TIGHTENING

Os parafusos podem ser apertados com uma chave TORX 30 apenas por um lado, sem correr o risco que o lado oposto escorregue ou volte, permitindo um aperto mais rápido e seguro na fixação de componentes.

P-FLEX

A suspension design where the traditional pivot point on the seat stay is eliminated in favour of a flexstay design. This uses the compliance of the material and specific shaping of the tubes to allow for the seat and chain stays to move apart as the suspension moves through the travel. By removing this pivot point at the seat and chain stay junction, we save weight, reduce maintenance needs and add stiffness to the frame structure.

WIRE PORT

MERIDA designed headsets that enable all control cables from the handlebar to enter the frame through the headset cover, creating a clean and uncluttered look, allowing for a lighter, stronger and more aerodynamic frame structure than with conventional cable ports. Depending on the model, the cables are run completely internally (including the bar and stem) or semi-integrated, where the cables enter the frame underneath the stem.
